If you have made it this far into your therapeutic journey, I congratulate you. It takes courage to acknowledge that you may need a little help in life. Therapy is not a job for me; it is a passion! It is both a joy and a privilege to accompany my clients on their personal journeys toward a healthier, happier life. Because I understand that we are living in a constantly busy world, I envision therapy as a time for my clients to regroup, reflect, and tackle their issues in a safe, calm, and non-judgmental environment. It is vital to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with, that you believe understands you, and most importantly that you can trust. My clients find that I am an empathetic listener with a warm and direct approach. I am not only focused on your long-term goals for therapy, but what you need at the moment.
I have a deep respect and admiration for anyone who chooses to reach out for help, no matter the issue. I have been able to practice in numerous environments, including private practice, nonprofits, elementary schools, and boarding schools. Due to this, I have had experiences with clients who present with issues ranging from marriage/relationship issues, parenting conflicts, teenage behavioral troubles, substance abuse, and LGBTQ identity struggles.
When not working in a therapeutic capacity, you can most often find me with my nose in a book (though frequently they are therapy focused), though I also enjoy spending time with my fiance exploring Austin and the surrounding areas in search of "hidden gem" restaurants and scenic spots.
If you think I would be a good fit for your counseling needs, please call me at 512-270-4883, ext. 104. You can also complete the form on the RCC Austin Scheduling Page to request an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
