It takes courage to reach out for support, and I don't take it lightly that you're here.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I draw from the Gottman method of couples therapy, CBT, and trauma-informed care to help clients slow down long-standing cycles, build stronger boundaries, and rebuild trust where it was broken. I like to explore what's happening now, and what might be driving it underneath. Beneath these frameworks, what I'm really doing is helping you see the patterns that keep repeating, understand where they came from, and build something steadier going forward.

A lot of what I bring to this work comes from my own life, not just my training. Before becoming a therapist, I received my MBA and built a career in entrepreneurship. That path, and later being the spouse of a self-employed partner, gave me a firsthand understanding of how blurred lines between work and home can strain a relationship. This experience shapes how I support couples navigating demanding careers or businesses.

I also bring a multiculturalism lens shaped by a life lived across Egypt, France, Spain, and the U.S. This gives me a natural love for bridging cultural gaps. I especially enjoy working with couples navigating cultural differences in their relationships, whether those differences involve family expectations, communication styles, or blending different traditions into a shared life together.

My Specialties

I am trained in the Gottman Method Levels I and II, along with additional Gottman training in PTSD and affair recovery. I especially enjoy working with couples who are rebuilding trust, working through communication breakdowns, or finding their way back to each other after a betrayal. I also bring direct clinical experience working with addiction and recovery, which has given me real compassion for how substance use ripples outward, affecting not just the person struggling, but everyone who loves them.
