  • The Relationship Counseling Center of Austin is seeking an organized and dedicated individual to be our Scheduling Coordinator and Office Manager. This role is a part-time (25 hours per week, M-F) position that ensures a smooth and efficient office workflow and oversees the daily operations of the office space. This role is important to RCC Austin’s goal of providing a welcoming and organized environment for clients and staff clinicians.  

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Answering incoming phone calls and responding to voice messages

    • Scheduling client appointments and client communication

    • Managing and maintaining office suite

    • Supporting staff clinicians, the office clinical director, and the assistant clinical director

    • Data entry and record keeping

    • Collaborate with the office clinical director and assistant clinical director in the process of onboarding new clinicians to the practice

    • Plan and execute group functions and meetings

    • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all areas of the counseling practice

    • May include other duties, as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Professional appearance and demeanor

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Previous experience in a healthcare or counseling office setting is a plus, but not required

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Knowledge of standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)

    • Ability to quickly learn software systems specific to a group counseling practice, e.g. SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, etc.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all areas of the practice

    • Minimum high school diploma; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred

      • Full sand tray set up with a large selection of miniatures

      • Subscription to SimplePractice for management of appointments, notes, and billing

      • Private direct phone number with an extension to main office number

      • Weekly support and mentoring from clinical management team

      • Private, one-on-one and group case consultations

      • Opportunities may be available to continue as a senior staff clinician with RCC Austin after internship

    What we’re looking for....

    • LPC Associates, LMFT Associates, and LMSWs who love working with couples, as well as individuals

    • Clinical interns who have their own clinical supervision and professional liability insurance

    • A flexible schedule with the ability to schedule a minimum of 13-15 appointments a week, with a minimum of 12 clients seen each week

    • Opportunity to see as many as 25 clients each week is available

    • Preferred candidates will have knowledge of or have training in a couples counseling methodology such as Gottman, EFT, PACT, Imago, etc. 

    • Clinical trainings in EMDR, Prepare/Enrich, Somatic Experiencing, CBT, DBT, or others are an asset, but not required

    • Life experiences that make you especially well-suited to and passionate about the counseling profession
