“ We think we listen, but rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.” - Carl Rogers
I am passionate about working with clients from all walks of life while providing a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive environment.
I enjoy using an integrative approach to therapy that is collaborative and based on the client’s expressed needs and goals. I am trained in Levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, which aims to enhance communication skills, strengthen friendship and intimacy, and create shared meaning in relationships. In addition, my work with clients is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My clinical training includes facilitating individual and group therapy with adults, adolescents, and families in a private practice setting, as well as in residential and outpatient facilities. My areas of specialization include couples counseling, interpersonal and relationship issues and improving communication, anxiety, depression, building self-esteem, processing grief and loss, life transitions, and substance use issues. I am also LGBTQIA+ affirming.
In my free time, I like to cook, hike, travel, and connect with family and friends.
It is my privilege to walk alongside clients on their journey to personal growth and self-awareness. I look forward to meeting you!
